ORIGIN

A character's origin in Tangent represents the type of environment they come from, shaping their skills, traits, and worldview. This origin can be an entire world dedicated to a specific environment, or a particular area or habitat within a more diverse world. For example, a character with an Agricultural origin might come from a planet primarily focused on farming, or from a specific farming community within a larger, more varied world.

Choosing an origin grants characters 20 POINTS FOR SKILLS listed for that origin, allowing them to develop expertise relevant to their background.

Additionally, players can SELECT TWO TRAITS from a list associated with their chosen origin, gaining appropriate bonuses. These traits reflect the character's upbringing and experiences in their native environment.

For further customization, players can choose a secondary origin, expanding the available options for skills and traits without gaining additional points. This allows for more nuanced and complex character backgrounds.
