Occupations in Tangent represent a character's training, job, or place in society.
Characters gain 25 POINTS TO SKILLS listed under their chosen Occupation. Each Occupation also has RECOMMENDED FEATURES, which cost 1 less Build Point (BP) if selected. Players CHOOSE TWO TRAITS from their Occupation, reflecting their background and granting special benefits. Additional traits can be purchased for 1 BP each, either during character creation or as an experience reward. The Background Trait allows characters to select training from a different Occupation, gaining one trait but no additional Skill Points or Recommended Features from that Occupation. This enables multi-skilled characters with diverse backgrounds.
